Forms allow you to collect specific data from the audience. The order form is perhaps the most obvious example. Forms require server-side interaction though, and thereby increase the cost of building and maintaining the web-site. If you want to try and run a business through your website, this might be a good way at first, but if the business grows much, a rather more eleborate server-side database system will probably become cost effective.
